ANTHEA O’CONNOR
FASHION STYLIST, WRITER & PRESENTER

Anthea is the former Melbourne Editor of Vogue Australia, a role that saw her write, style and produce fashion and lifestyle stories for over ten years for the prestigious fashion magazine from 2000 until 2010.

Now working as a fashion stylist, Anthea works with private clients on their personal style and wardrobes, and appeared in 2011 and 2012 as a fashion presenter on Network Ten’s The Circle, where she commentated on various fashion related issues each week in addition to co-hosting the morning show a number of times.  Anthea currently hosts the new “How To” style videos for Country Road on their new lifestyle and fashion blog Live With Us, sharing her well edited fashion eye and experience with customers on how to maximize their personal style.

Anthea regularly hosts events for fashion brands and retailers, presenting consumer fashion and style workshops and seasonal launches for clients including Country Road, Willow, Westfield Doncaster, David Jones, Chadstone, QV, Chatsworth Chase (Sydney) and Queens Plaza (Brisbane) shopping centers.

Anthea’s interest in personal styling began when she was co-host of the Australian version of What Not To Wear on Channel 7, which saw her work with a variety of Australian women on the national television show to transform and update their wardrobes and personal style. Her other TV and film work includes working as a stylist on the Australian Film “Any Questions for Ben” (2011) styling the lead character played by actress Rachel Taylor and consulting as a stylist on the launch season of the Real Housewives of Melbourne.

Anthea has continued personal styling since appearing on What Not To Wear, working with both private clients and fashion retailers, providing an accessible fashion voice to women by demonstrating that great style doesn’t depend on having a big budget and that there is a fashion solution for every body shape and bank balance!  Anthea’s down to earth nature allows for an easy rapport with clients, and she excels at providing innovative and practical style ideas that can be easily integrated into a clients existing wardrobe.

Anthea has appeared on various television shows as a fashion commentator including fashion reporting for Channel 7’s Spring Racing Carnival telecast and her fashion commentary and opinion is regularly sought after by publications and television news outlets nationally.
